										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Why do people meditate? It’s because they need to relax or feel better. But you have to be careful, though, as meditation or visualization can also do you harm.<span id="more-1183"></span></p>
<p>Meditation takes you back to a more relaxed state. During this state of relaxation people often times misuse it. They think about the wrong things when they meditate, so they end up feeling worse than they did before meditating.</p>
<p><strong>Meditating With The Wrong Thoughts</strong></p>
<p>When you ask some people, they say that they meditate because they are angry and they want to relax. This is entirely wrong. The moment you meditate while you are angry, you are actually creating more of that particular feeling – so you end up feeling worse.</p>
<p>Instead, bring yourself to a state where you do not have any negative emotions. When you reach that point of feeling, only then should you start meditating.</p>
<p><strong>Stay Free Of Negativity</strong></p>
<p>The things you do while you are in a particular mood or state creates that same emotion. So when you feel negatively while you visualize or meditate, no matter how hard you try, you will not be able to bring positivity in your life.</p>
<p>You have to know how to let go and get yourself on the positive side of life. 										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;m sure by now you already know that the Law of Attraction is always at work in your life, whether you want it to be or not.  You also know that the universe will respond to your vibrations by sending you what you&#8217;re most in tune with.  So now the question is<span id="more-955"></span> do you want this Law to bring you the things you want, or don&#8217;t want, into your life?</p>
<p>If you want to bring more wealth into your life, you need to put your attention on having money &#8211; not wishing for money, but possessing it now. You can do this by simply visualizing things and situations that give you the feeling of being wealthy, or you can use physical aids to help make the experience more tangible.</p>
<p><strong>Here are a few examples:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Deposit Funds into Your Account-</strong><br />
Get some blank deposit slips at your bank.  Imagine you have a large amount of money you want to put into your account, and then actually fill out a deposit slip. Think about how good it feels to fill out the deposit slip and give it, along with a pile of cash or a large check, to the teller. You may never have had the experience of writing down or seeing that many zeros before, so this will help make the mental exercise  feel more real.</li>
<li><strong>Write Checks for the Items You Want-</strong><br />
Get some checks from an unused account, or photocopy a blank check. Pull out a catalogue and look through the pages.  When you see something you want, write out a check for it.  Doesn&#8217;t it feel good to write out a large check?  You can then actually put it in an envelope and address it &#8211; you could even make a special &#8220;mailbox&#8221; to send your order through the universe. Now, feel happy and excited about receiving the items in the mail soon.</li>
<li><strong>Increase the Amount in Your Checkbook Balance-</strong><br />
Close your eyes, and see another $10,000.00 or $100,000.00 in your checkbook balance &#8211; instead of seeing $240.00, imagine that it&#8217;s $10,240.00.  Get a vivid image of that nice big number.  Feel good about the large amount of money that&#8217;s yours to spend. You want to get used to seeing and writing these amounts on a regular basis.</li>
</ul>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The best way to put yourself in a state of mind that will bring you more of what you want is to be grateful for what you have now.  Living the Law of Attraction means that “like will attract like”, and being grateful always<span id="more-907"></span> produces positive thoughts and feelings.</p>
<p>I’ve found a good exercise that will allow you to use the positive feelings you have from being grateful to attract specific things that you want.</p>
<ol>
<li><strong>I Am Grateful For&#8230; </strong> Write down two or three things that you are already grateful for. For example: I am grateful for my health, my family, and my career. Go into detail about why you are grateful for each of these things.</li>
<li><strong>Visualize</strong> Think about what you are grateful you for and feel happy about having these things. For example: Close your eyes and truly see yourself healthy and happy with your family and why you appreciate them. Focus and hold on to that fuzzy happy feeling, let a smile come across your face.</li>
<li><strong>Feel In The Present Moment</strong> Write down one thing that you want that you don’t currently have, and feel that same feeling of gratitude as if it is already yours. For example: You may want a promotion at work,  imagine being promoted right now. How does it make you feel at this present moment to be promoted? What are you going to be able to do with the extra money, time or perks? Focus and hold on to that positive feeling. Feel grateful and happy about this promotion in the same way you&#8217;re grateful for the position you already possess.</li>
<li><strong>Repeat</strong> Continue to repeat this pattern – focus on two or three things that you are happy you currently have, and then focus on one thing that you want.</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>Be Grateful You Are Living the Law of Attraction</strong></p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Visualizing what you want is a key step in changing your reality, and the more tangible you can make your visualizations, the greater the benefits will be.  But don’t just rely on<span id="more-663"></span> your visual sense &#8211; try to use all of your senses to make the experience more concrete.</p>
<p><strong><em>Use All of Your Senses to Make Your Visualizations as Real as Possible</em></strong></p>
<p>The sense of sight is the dominant sense with human beings.  We define the world predominantly using this one sense.  Though the term “Visualization” means getting a visual picture in our minds, the other senses can play an important role in making the experience more real.</p>
<p>In fact, the other senses sometimes have a greater effect on our emotional reaction to the world.  Think of the way that certain smells will trigger strong feelings.  For instance, the smell of freshly cut grass can make us think of playing outside with friends when we were children, which causes a strong emotional response.  (I’ve read that smells trigger emotions more than any other sensory experience.)</p>
<p>If there’s a particular car that you want to attract you should:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong><em>Visualize</em></strong> a detailed picture in your mind</li>
<li><em><strong>Feel</strong></em> the steering wheel in your hands and the soft seat cushions</li>
<li><em><strong>Hear</strong></em> the sound of the motor</li>
<li><em><strong>Smell</strong></em> that “new car smell”</li>
</ul>
<p>By using all of your senses you’ll find that your “visualizations” will feel much more real and more pleasant.  Try this yourself, and you’ll see what I mean.</p>
<blockquote><p><strong>Practical Application</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Visualization is not only using your sense of sight but also utilizing as many senses in your visualization process, this will make it more believable</li>
<li>Visualizing in your mind, vision boards, or putting quotes and pictures near things you use on a regular basis are great exercises</li>
<li>Keep that goal fresh in your mind with some type of Visualization exercise and it will be real before you know it</li>
</ul>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It’s important to have long-term goals to focus on.  You want to have a clear vision of the future you ultimately want for yourself.  But sometimes it can be a little overwhelming to think that big.  It may seem like too big a jump to make from where you are now.</p>
<p>One way to put yourself in the right frame of mind for making big things happen is to <span id="more-654"></span>focus on smaller, more immediate segments of time.  When you wake up, <strong>think positive thoughts</strong> about the morning cup of coffee that you will enjoy.</p>
<p>When you start to go to work, imagine a drive without traffic problems.  As you’re driving, notice the nice weather and the beautiful buildings or trees that you pass by.  Think about having good conversations with people at work and getting your tasks done on time.</p>
<p>These are all things that you know are possible, so it’s fairly easy to clearly visualize them.  The positive thoughts will put you in a state that attract these things more readily.  Days that start out good tend to continue to be that way all day.  You’ll get the ball rolling in the right direction.</p>
<p>You’ll find that your more ambitious goals are much easier to <strong>visualize</strong> when you’re in this state of mind.  When you feel positive about small things, you will be able to believe that much bigger things can happen for you.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I went roller skating last night and fell on my butt.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.antoniothornton.com/law-of-attraction/wp-content/uploads/skates.jpg"><img decoding="async" class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-356" title="skates" src="http://www.antoniothornton.com/law-of-attraction/wp-content/uploads/skates.jpg" alt="" /></a>The interesting this is not that I fell, but <em>why</em> I fell.</p>
<p>I fell because I was trying not to fall.  You see, I hadn&#8217;t been skating in several months and had deemed myself &#8220;rusty&#8221;.  So I was skating around &#8211; legs and arms stiff, tensed-up and nervous (in other words, worried).</p>
<p>So after going around a few times like that, I tried a side jump (which I always do) and <span id="more-355"></span>fell smack on my butt.</p>
<p>OUCH! (It still hurts as I write this)</p>
<p>I got up and dusted myself off&#8230;then sat down for a while.</p>
<p>As I was sitting there (in pain) I realized a couple of things:</p>
<p>The first is that I hadn&#8217;t fallen in a LOOOOOONG time&#8230; and that I hadn&#8217;t &#8216;worried&#8217; about falling in just as long.</p>
<p>When I was skating regularly, I never worried about falling, and interestingly enough, I rarely did.</p>
<p>The Law of Attraction states that we get what we focus on&#8230; even if it&#8217;s a &#8216;fear&#8217; or something we don&#8217;t want.</p>
<p>After sitting there for a while, I went back out&#8230;this time not worrying about falling. I performed the same jump I was trying before and landed perfectly.</p>
<p>The second epihany I had was the realization that there is nothing &#8220;wrong&#8221; with falling.  My fear of falling wasn&#8217;t really about me hurting myself&#8230;it was motivated by &#8216;not looking bad&#8217; in front of all the people in the skating rink.</p>
<p>But here&#8217;s the reality &#8211; IT&#8217;S A SKATING RINK!!!  People fall!</p>
<p>It&#8217;s not only normal&#8230;it&#8217;s expected.</p>
<p>When I fell, no one laughed; the DJ didn&#8217;t stop the music, turn the spotlight on me and say, &#8220;look at that loser that just fell on the floor!&#8221;  In fact, a couple of people came to ask if I was okay and helped me up.</p>
<p>What was I afraid of?</p>
<p>Nothing really.   Only the ridiculous scenario I came up with in my head.</p>
<blockquote><p><strong>Practical Application</strong><br />
There are three lessons here you can benefit from:</p>
<p>1) Focus on what you want&#8230;not what you don&#8217;t want</p>
<p>2) Loosen up! Just go with the flow of things.  Usually when you&#8217;re tense and fighting things (i.e. struggling, worrying, etc) you tend to attract the things you don&#8217;t want&#8230;at the minimum, you&#8217;ll make things more difficult for yourself.</p>
<p>3) Get clear on what you&#8217;re &#8220;really&#8221; afraid of. 										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>You heard me mention the &#8220;poverty mentality&#8221; in the Shift Happens blog post &#8211; how the guy from Dell was trying to make me &#8220;poor&#8221; by repeatedly downgrading what I actually wanted to order because it would be too expensive to get the top of the line items.Well that makes me want to talk about the whole poverty mentality thing. Poverty mentality is a state of mind. Many people have this mindset, and it <span id="more-63"></span>often comes from being used to not having enough, or at least- thinking that you don&#8217;t have enough. It applies to money, of course, but it also applies to other aspects of life- like relationships, and having enough time to get everything done.</p>
<p>Does this sound familiar?</p>
<p>&#8220;I can&#8217;t buy that eBook, I need the money to pay the electric bill&#8230;&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;I can&#8217;t find someone to be in a relationship with, I just don&#8217;t have the time to look&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Sure that business coach could really help me get my new business off the ground, but I can&#8217;t afford to pay him because my car payment is due&#8221;</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re hoarding every dime you make so you can have enough to pay the bills&#8230;you&#8217;re probably getting just that- just enough to pay the bills. But this is the poverty mentality and this is the exact attitude that is going to keep you in &#8220;poverty&#8221;, keep you from becoming successful. It&#8217;s the <a href="http://antoniothornton.com/law-of-attraction" title="Law Of Attraction">Law of Attraction</a> &#8211; in action. You get what you constantly focus on.</p>
<p>When you&#8217;re pinching pennies every where you go. You going to get more of that.<br />
You absolutely must break out of the poverty mentality line of thinking. Stop focusing on what you don&#8217;t have and don&#8217;t want and focus on what you do have and on what you want in life.</p>
<p>One thing I find with people who have this mindset, usually are too scared to invest in their future&#8230;.which is one of things that keeps them in the same place. People who are successful in any area are always investing in themselves to continue their education.<br />
Invest both your time and finances in the things that will get you want you want &#8211; like investment/business books, seminars, coaching. I&#8217;m not implying that you should spend, spend, spend on everything and get yourself into debt. But like I said in the <a href="http://antoniothornton.com/law-of-attraction/easily-create-the-millionaire-mindset.html">How To Easily Create The Millionaire Mindset</a> post, spend like a millionaire and the millions will come.</p>
<p>This is what will get the energy of money flowing to you.</p>
<p>And when people try to pull you back into the poverty mentality, RUN&#8230;.run like your life depended on it&#8230;.</p>
