But….

at the same time you aren’t 🙂

Let me explain –

A buddy of mine has an e-mail signature that’s pretty funny…it says:

“If I were perfect, you wouldn’t have anything to say about me… and how much fun is that?”

I crack up every time I see it.

It’s funny, but it’s also a very prolific statement.

It touches on the idea that we’re not perfect…and that’s just the way it is…

But at the same time…the idea that we ARE perfect is equally true…

Better said, we are “perfect” in our “imperfection”.

Sure, we all have ‘flaws’ or “issues”, but those are the things that make us uniquely us. One person can see a character trait of yours and deem it a “flaw”, when someone else may see it as a “blessing” – and they’re both right – BUT they’re also both wrong.

It’s neither a blessing nor a flaw… it’s just YOU.

You, in the utter perfection of “yourself” – just the way you are.

Now you may be asking, “What about the bad things I’ve done…or the things I need to do to better myself….?”

If there are some areas in your life that you’d like to improve, that’s fine…but there’s nothing “wrong” with you, you don’t need to “fix” yourself or anything of the sort.

The perfection is in not making who you are “bad” or “wrong”…
The perfection is in the knowing that we are who we are…
The perfection is in the getting from point “a” to point “b”…
The perfection is in you and everything you are…

If in the “beginning”, there was perfection – I can’t imagine anything less than perfection coming from perfection.

Practical Application

Know that you are perfect in every way – for who you are and who you’re not. No matter what you think about yourself or your situation…you are where you are because that’s the route you chose to get where you’re going…
