  1. I been looking reading you blogs for a few weeks and find you to be a breath of fresh air! Ever since I’ve heard about the secret on Oprah its just made sense. I watched to movie and have been applying the secret to my everyday life with positive results. Its amazing how powerful the mind is. I glad you were able to over come your fear of rides. I’ll take you up on that list it sooo true that the best way to overcome your fears is to do them! Thanks and keep up the good work!

  4. Hey Antonio, congradulations for getting over your fear! I’m not sure how to get over my fear though and I was wondering if you have any suggestions. My fear is subconcious and doesn’t really bother me. Or so I thought. While I was online, I spotted a picture of my fear (a certain creature from a sci-fi movie I watched when I was five), and my body actually tensed up! I was shocked that just seeing its image after 7 or so years still made me flinch a bit…Should I try re-watching the movie?

    I wouldn’t recommend watching it again unless you’re in a place where you feel you can “separate” yourself from the fear so you can see the fear for what it is.

    For example, I was able to tell myself, “This ride isn’t going to ‘kill’ me…so what’s the worst that could happen? I’d be scared for a few minutes… then, once the ride was over, I wouldn’t be scared then.”

    That gave me enough ‘courage’ to ride it.

    So, I would suggest that you first, ask yourself what’s scary about the creature… is it the look of the creature, do you feel it’s going to ‘get you’ or is it based on an idea you have 5 years ago about “creatures”?

    Once you’re clear on what the fear is, you can overcome it. The creature (like most things in our lives) is just the physical manifestation of our fears… Once we see it for what it really is, the fear goes away.
