Size DOES Matter!

  • Minutes Read

One of the longest running debates is: ‘does size really matter?’

No! Not THAT debate… the debate about does the Universe distinguish between big and small things…. (get your mind out of the gutter) 🙂
Well, the truth of the matter is that the Universe supports you in what you do, say, think and believe. So if you think it’s ‘harder’ to manifest a million dollars than it is to manifest $1, then the Universe will support you in that.

For the Universe, everything is everything…nothing is big (or small) in the ‘eyes’ of the Universe. If you put the intention out and allow things to flow to you, the Universe provides, every time – without fail. The ONLY thing that keeps you from receiving the things you ask for is you. More specifically, your belief in having the things you ask for.

So if you don’t believe you can live in the million dollar home or deserve the wonderful mate or can be have a 100% healthy body or whatever…then you won’t.

Henry Ford said, “whether a man believes he can do a thing or not, he’s right..”

So, I’m I suggesting that you don’t “go for it all” and only focus on the ‘little’ things?

Not really, but kinda.

Let me explain:

Let’s say you’re making $50,000 per year now and your desire is to make 50 million. Instead of focusing on the $50M, you may want to consider focusing on doubling your income next year, then tripling it, and so on, up to the $50M. I say this because the jump from $50K to $50M is not only a huge financial jump, but it’s a QUANTUM paradigm leap – mentally. You have to ‘be’ a totally different person to attract $50M than you do to attract $50K. It’s not to say that you couldn’t do it, but they are two totally different people. And very few people have the ability to make such a huge paradigm shift.

Now let me be very clear on something. I will NEVER – EVER try to ‘steal your dreams’ and tell you that you can’t do it. I truly believe that you can do what ever you set your mind to do. However, when things don’t work out the way we like them to, we tend to get ‘disappointed’ and start doubting things…which can make the desires that much harder to achieve.

Consider this: You just started playing golf. You’ve never played before and you have no idea what you’re doing. Is it feasible to think that you’ll be able to beat Tiger Woods next week?

One of the things most people do after watching the Secret or learning about Law of Attraction is they run out and do vision boards with private jets, Maybachs, multi-million dollar homes, etc…These things are great, but if after a few months they don’t see these things manifesting, people become discouraged to the point of disbelief and some just give up.

One thing you have to keep in mind is that however old you are now…all the thoughts you had for the years leading up to now got to you to where you are – that’s doesn’t always change overnight. However, when we start with accomplishing ‘small’ things, we are encouraged, which raises our vibrations and helps bring our ‘big’ desires to us even faster. I talked about how I was able to manifest $100K in a week. But guess what, it wasn’t because I was focusing on the $100k, it was because I was focusing on $15k at the time and I totally blew the $15K out of the water and made almost 7 times what I intended.

Just like Richard Dreyfuss told Bill Murray in the movie What About Bob, take “baby steps”

Going back to the golf example: your initial focus should be on just hitting the ball without hurting yourself. Then on to hitting it straight, then far, etc. All the while, keeping the ‘bigger’ goal of beating Tiger Woods in the back of your mind, but focusing on the baby steps.

Though I’ve said it once, I want to be 100% clear here:

My intention is not to discourage anyone from going after their dreams…it’s quite the opposite. I encourage everyone to dream ‘big’, however I’ve found with the hundreds of people I’ve coached, that taking baby steps have not only helped to achieve their desires faster, but the multiple, continual ‘successes’ have done wonders for their self-esteem and self-confidence.

Now on the other hand, if you feel you have the ability to transform yourself into the person you need to be to attract the ‘big’ things you desire, then I say, “Go for it!”

My suggestion is to take the ‘big’ desires you have and break them down into smaller, bite-sized chunks. Focus on those consistent successes; and literally before you know it, you’d have hit your larger goals.

Yours in success.

  1. Awesome, awesome post Antonio! 🙂 So many people don’t BELIEVE that what they want is possible. It seems that we are a generation who, for what ever reason, has a deep down vibration of “I’m not worthy”. That vibration has a way of screwing up our ability to manifest the BIG things that we want. Baby steps are a great way of getting to where you want to be and build your confidence that “I CAN do this!” 🙂

  2. Hi Vickie,

Thanks for your comments. I’m not sure why our society has an ‘I’m not worthy’ belief either. Hopefully, with more people finding out about the law of attraction, they’ll see that they ARE worthy and can do anything they set their minds to.

    Thanks!

  3. Hi Antonio:

An excellent podcast! I agree to start on a gradient, then make your way to larger and larger goals:)

Can you address the topic of Secrecy in Goal-asking until Manifestation? The pros, the cons, if you DO end up telling others, is it too late, can you still Manifest it, etc? Thanks so much! Michelle

  4. Hey Antonio, great post!

I really enjoyed the $7 product of yours, and that really engaging teleseminar with Dave Lakhani you had a few weeks back!

Speaking of the Law of Attraction and The Secret, I just came across a copy of Bob Proctor’s latest free report which reveals “the missing ingredient to turbo-charge the Law of Attraction”! I’ve read it, it’s pretty good stuff, it goes beyond what was discussed in The Secret.

You can download it for free at http://www.PersonalGrowthPlan.com/rights. What’s best, you can make money from it too, just by giving it away! Happy reading! Cheers!

  5. A lot of people have the “I’m not worthy” attitude because of what’s being taught in the media. Look at a lot of the self help and diet books out there. They preach “Something is wrong with you and you need fixing” or “You don’t know how to be happy”. With advice like this, no wonder people feel helpless and not in control. However, the great thing about The Secret movie and the Law of Attraction teachings, is that they teach personal responsiblity. People learn that they DO have the power to be whatever they want. They learn that they ARE in control of their lives.

I agree with “baby steps” being vital to success. I’m training for the next 14 months for a 53 mile race around Mont Blanc in Switerzerland next summer. But four months ago, I could barely do five push-ups or run a few minutes without losing my breath. Today, by taking baby steps, I can do 75 push-ups and run for a hour non-stop. But I took it slow and was patient with my progress. And as the race is in 2008, I have plenty of time to prepare for it!

You really need to have a goal that you care about to have the patience for “baby steps”. Some people set really big goals because they “think” they would like the million dollars. They “think” they would like the mansion. But a lot of times, it’s not what they really want. They like the idea of the prize, but lack the desire to “pay the price”. Or maybe the prize really isn’t for them at all. It’s an “it would be nice to have” kind of goal.

Jim Rohn said: “If the promise is clear, the price is easy.” In other words if your goal is geniune, then paying the price for success is not a problem. Therefore, taking “baby steps” is something you look forward to!

What I love about Antonio’s blog and podcasts, is that he helps us learn to make self-image AND financial improvements simultaneously. Unfortunatley, some people don’t want to change internally, but they want all the external changes that reflect success!

  6. Hi Antonio,

    Awesome post!

The Chinese have a saying “A Journey of a Thousand Miles starts with the First Step”. Your “baby steps” concept is sadly lacking in many people today.

I just read from a free report on The Science of Getting Rich interview between Bob Proctor and Stephen Pierce about this which I thought was also extremely insightful and lacking in people today.

“Earning money has to do with rendering service. And the more service you render, the more money you are going to earn.”

    Room for improvement in all.

  7. While certainly shooting for the stars is a good thing, it’s a great idea to take the “baby steps” you refer to. Shooting for a million dollars next week is setting yourself up for failure. Why not set yourself up for success instead, with smaller goals? I’d rather rack up a series of small, gradually increasing successes than flop with one huge failure any day of the week!

  8. Awesome Post Antonio!

I can’t stress how much I agree on dreaming big and not letting your dream killed by unbelief, doubts.
Achieving Success has now not a just a miracle but is has now become a science

Thanks Antonio for the amazing post

  9. Great post Antonio!

It’s always better to start in baby steps because it’s easily achievable and once you achieve it, you get more confident and build your momentum for great result 🙂

You must always have a clear dream and visualize that you have achieved your dream.

By the way, a free report by Bob Proctor and Stephen Pierce OptiMINDzation Attraction Accelerator helps me a lot.

You must read this free report!

  10. Hey Antonio,

Thanks for that great post. I have a question that I am sure has been asked before but I haven’t come across it yet. I know you say here to break things down into baby steps and I agree. But my question is, do you suggest only focusing on one goal/intention at a time? For example, I know a lot of people (myself included) who want it all…a partner, a higher income, to lose weight, etc. Is it best to focus all our energy on one thing until we receive that, and then move on to the next thing, or to have a broader goal that encompasses all of those things? Personally, I have set the intention of having good health, and under that umbrella I have included emotional, financial, spiritual, and physical health. I don’t know if that is too lofty a goal at first, since I am new to the LOA way of thinking, so any thoughts on that would be greatly appreciated!

    Jamie

  11. Hello Antonio ~

I am very much enjoying your podcasts and just finished listening to this one. I was wondering of you are taking coaching clients and if you would consider coaching on just one particular issue which I am working on manifesting. Is it possible to discuss just one issue with you rather than signing up for a full porgram?
    Thanks,
    Marcia

  13. Not only taking “baby steps” practical but it is highly effective. I see your point here clearly. You’ve placed concern on not only doing visualizations but also on strengthening the belief. Another great post here, I must say.
