Law Of Attraction And The Empty Basket

  • Minutes Read

I just left the grocery store and got more than what I bargained for…another Law of Attraction life lesson.

Here is another great example of why it’s so important to be clear on what you want:

So here I am, doing some ‘quick’ grocery shopping, but I ended up getting way too many things…as usual. (My mother always said, “never go grocery shopping when you’re hungry…’cause you end up buying too much stuff.” So, what to I do??? the opposite…of course 🙂

So, as I’m gathering the items that I wanted, I found myself having to balance things in one arm, hold things under my other arm…to the point where I was about to drop everything on the floor…And since one of the items was a glass container, I didn’t want to drop it and I figured I needed a basket. Duh.

But… I was all the way in the back of the store and I didn’t want to walk “all the way” back up to the front to get a basket. So, I put out the intention (and even said aloud) “There will be an empty basket around the corner…”

And guess what happened???

I found an empty basket around the corner…

Whoo Hoo! Good for me, right?

Well, not quite. This is what I found:
Law of Attraction and the empty basket

It wasn’t a shopping basket.

It was the basket that was used for free samples…and it happened to be empty.

So, I got exactly what I asked for…but not exactly what I wanted.

Practical Application

Be clear on what you ask for…or you just might get it.

Peace V

  1. LOL! Yes!! This is soooooo true!! We need to be very specific on manifesting what we went!! I have finally mastered it. I cried laughing when I read this blog!! Keep’em coming!!

  2. The Law of Attraction, that we all attract everything that ever happens to us in our lives, good or bad, simply by thinking about it. In essence, in my opinion, it states that things happen on account of wishful thinking or because of unguarded thought. It seems to me that this doesn’t take into account all the other forces that are interacting with each and every one of us in this physical realm.

  3. Think doom and gloom and it will follow you, be happy and you have a much better chance of feeling good sometimes it’s hard to accomplish however, I agree with you and I keep on trying…and oh my dad told me another important thing: always prepare for the unexpected…

Goes along with be careful what you wish for..be happy..

  4. Great post. I did the same thing a few years ago. I wished for Mercedes Benz and within a few days a friend told me he was selling one of his.

    It was nothing but trouble.

Next time I’m going to ask for mechanically sound one.

  5. Yes, I can relate to the empty basket, as I’m getting alot of ’empty baskets’ lately…lol. And it’s only because I’m not clear and focused.. just all over the place. But working on correcting that.

  6. I am in 100% agreement with this post! You must be specific because you always get what you ask for so make certain that you ask for exactly what you want.

  7. Hi Antonio!
Nice post today and so true!
I love your site and your topic, we are almost there and I am so excited about it!
I have that empty basket and I know its my doing although hard to admit. However I am happy to say that now the sailing is more smooth for us!
lot of light and blessing to you!

  8. We don’t get exactly what we ask for – we get what we expect and believe according to our energetic set-point. Antonio, maybe you didn’t really expect to find a basket you could use for your groceries. To John Sammers who asked for a Mercedes – what do you believe about Mercedes’ or about used cars? When we ask, we ask by our vibe, not by our words. The Universe doesn’t speak English.

  9. I love your Posts. I recently asked to be send to Europe as part of an overseas internship program my school has, unfortunatly for me I didn’t finish that request and ended up in Europe all right but with 19 other 19 & 20 year olds who party everynight. I’m in my early/mid 30s with or no one to even have an adult conversation with, and very lonely. Won’t leave a request like that unfinished again. Any suggestions on how I can draw possitive energy to me for the next 38 days?

  10. Thanks for the great blog post. I think we all struggle with this from time to time, even those of us who have been practicing LoA teachings for a long time. I look forward to more posts!

  11. I totally agree. I also think it’s important to remember all of the The 11 Laws that are in play as well. If you haven’t been applying the other 10 laws, then I highly recommend it. I’ve seen some great results.
