Was just on the phone with a friend of mine as she was talking about her dog…she says, “Oh, I love my dog to death”. A few days ago, I remember another friend saying the same about her dad.
Totally reminiscent of my “Are You Killing Yourself Post“, it’s totally amazing how many phrases we use that are not only dis-empowering, but destructive and outright sabotaging.
If you’re struggling with identifying the areas that you may be blocking yourself from having the life you want, start with your vocabulary.
Just listen to the words you use and you’ll get a glimpse of the thoughts (whether conscious or not) that are creating your reality.
Words are powerful and serve as a conduit between your thoughts and your reality. So “loving someone to death” isn’t really doing them any good.
Please… if you ever find yourself falling in love with me, please don’t “love me to death” I don’t want you to love me that much – I want us both to live 🙂

I do think so that these words are uttered out of ones unconsciousness. I mean they could have been one’s expression which might have developed as a habit. But when you look and examine it deeply, you will discover that these words does mean something serious. These suggests excessiveness of some things and these are the ones we should avoid. Our words directly represents what we think and what we feel.
I thought that this post was somewhat dramatic in nature. I was like “Antonio already found a partner?” so i was kinda excited about this post. Then I found out that this is all about using the appropriate words and being careful how they are delivered. Yes i agree we should check out how serious idioms we are using. We should also examine ourselves why do we utter this kind of unecessary words.
Thats Antonio for you guys. You should check your language. Even though it doesn’t sound like “what the F**k” or “S**t” and the likes, It might mean something serious that you guys should check. Remember these words came from your thoughts and your thoughts control your future.
