A 'Grim' Reality Makes Life Easier?

Here’s something that you may not want to hear and better yet…be surprised hearing come from me…

It’s hard to make a lot of money…

In fact, it’s painfully difficult and close to impossible to do anything of significant importance…

—> by yourself.

Think about it…

Imagine running a restaurant…by yourself.

Imagine operating a clothing store…by yourself.

Imagine starting and running any successful business…by yourself

Imagine changing the world like Gandhi or Martin Luther King Jr…by yourself.

These things would be extremely difficult…almost miserable (seemingly impossible) trying to do them by yourself.

The key thing to consider here is ‘by yourself’. Don’t forget your support system.

Everyone has people who are there for them and are always willing to give a helping hand. Sometimes, you need to call on those people to be there for you.

For a lot of people…it’s a matter of pride, they don’t want to ‘need help’. They’d rather ‘struggle’ by themselves than ask for help.

We ALL NEED HELP from time to time… get over it!

Let go of feeling ‘needy’. Asking for help from time to time does not make you less of a person. It actually shows that you’re smart…you’re resourceful.

You are using the resources you have available to you. Whether they be family and friends, co-workers, neighbors, business partners, etc…even “strangers”

Think about it, if you are starting a business and need the capitol to get things going, are you going to turn down the bank offer for a loan to pay for what you need? No, that is a resource that will help you reach your goal.

What’s the difference between that and allowing a friend or family member who has extra time to help you when you are slammed with things to do?

It’s using resources that are within reach.

I love this quote… “He who is afraid of asking is ashamed of learning.” – Danish Proverb

Practical application

Think about things you want to accomplish in life, but have not been able to.

What is keeping you from these accomplishments? Time? Know-how?

Are there people you know who can help you realize these goals?

Why have you not asked for their help? If it’s a matter of pride, GET OVER IT, and feel the sense of accomplishment that goes with seeing that goal become a reality.
