A Do-Do Society

We live in a “do-do” society (no pun intended)

We are always doing things versus ‘being’. Just to give you an example, go tell your buddy that you’re about to open a restaurant, or start a business, or buy a new car… the first thing they’ll ask you is “How are you going to do that?” Because they, like most of us were taught that if you want something done, you have to do it (yourself).

So when we visualize our desires like the mansion, new car or booming business, we see how ‘big’ they seem and we fall into the conversation of “how am I going to pull this off?” Then fear, worry, anxiety and a host of other destructive emotions set in, which totally block the Universe from providing.

I’ve recently come to the conclusion that being is exponentially more powerful and productive than doing.

Dr Robert Anthony noted that 17 seconds of intentional and uninterrupted thought is equal to 10 hours of ‘doing’.

Your mind has an exponentially greater capacity and ability to create and attract than your physical body.

Yes, you read that correctly…

The act of visualizing yourself being the person who has your desire is more powerful than the actual ‘doing’ of the things to manifesting your desires.

For example, you visualizing having a new car can attract the car to you in any way…even by someone giving you the car. Yet, you laboring or pinching pennies here there to buy the car is limiting yourself to only one way to get that car.

I’m not saying that ‘doing’ something is a bad thing… because you have to keep in mind that as we attract the things we want, there will be things that we have to do. But as I’ve said before, those things will not be hard, laborious, frustrating or attached to any other negative emotion. The things that you’re led to do will be inspired and have a sense of joy attached to them.

Practical Application
Instead of focusing on what you need to do, do, do…

Focus on who you need to be, be, be.

Be who you need to be to attract the desire and the doing will take care of itself.

    Hi Antonio,

I agree with you. We must let our imagination run wild to be able to visualize. And I love going to car showrooms 🙂

Dip in the new BMW M5 😉

Antonio you hit the nail on the head. (I always liked that metaphor). Most people have it backwards. They feel they must do…or do-do as you put it. Then they can have. Once they do-do and have, then and only then can they be.

If you take your advice, and be first, then you can have, and ultimately do-do whatever you want.

    Nice post!
